Chroisocephalus novaehollandiae

Numbers of silver gulls has increased with human settlement. They naturally feed on worms, fish, insects and crustaceans. They are a successful scavenger and have been known to take other young bird chicks as well as scraps left by humans.

We at 1770 Reef Eco Tours wish to acknowledge The Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and sea on which we meet and travel on today.
We recognise their connection to Country and the role in which they care for and continue to maintain Country over thousands of years.
May their strength and wisdom be with us today.
