Haliaeetus

Often seen flying high above Lady Musgrave Island as there is a resident mating couple living fulltime on the island. Nest is very high in the trees of the forest. Feeds mainly on marine animals such as fish, baby turtles and sea snakes and will often harass other birds to drop their prey and then take it.

We at 1770 Reef Eco Tours wish to acknowledge The Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and sea on which we meet and travel on today.
We recognise their connection to Country and the role in which they care for and continue to maintain Country over thousands of years.
May their strength and wisdom be with us today.
